Had an unforgettable stay for one night. Our Japanese-style room with tatami mats, the garden, plus private hot spring tub was new-fashioned. - the hotel was in an unbeatable and magnificent location near popular attractions such as the monkey park and many sights that are easily walkable. - A cool bonus was nearby Cafe Ranzan, which offered tea and coffee.

Located right next to the scenic river, this hotel offers a prime location for exploring Arashiyama. The comfortable rooms provide a pleasant stay and the private baths offer a relaxing experience. The friendly and helpful staff ensure excellent service throughout your stay. Additionally, the delicious and beautifully decorated breakfast is a perfect start to the day.
The lack of cushioning on the tatami mats and flat pillows may make it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

We had the most enjoyable stay at a beautiful ryokan in Kyoto. The location was perfect for exploring the Arashimaya area. Our room was spacious and charming, with a fully automated toilet and a well-equipped kitchen. The private onsen was a wonderful way to relax. The staff provided excellent service, including a free shuttle to the train station on our check-out day. The food, especially the kaiseki dinner, was delicious and a true culinary experience. we had a fantastic time at Arashiyama Benkei and would highly recommend it.
Although our stay was wonderful, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The wifi was a bit weak, and there was occasional noise from the upper storey.

Spent New Year at a traditional Japanese inn and it was amazing! Loved that they had a private onsen we could enjoy and the location was perfect - surrounded by gorgeous scenery and conveniently close to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the traditional dinner and breakfast were a great cultural experience that I won't forget.
The price was steep, but expected for such a luxurious experience. The room was a bit smaller than I anticipated, but cozy nonetheless.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was charming and the staff treated me with utmost kindness and respect. The location was perfect, close to the main street and the beautiful Bamboo forest walk.
The food for breakfast could have been better, it lacked some variety.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Arashiyama. The location was perfect, close to Main Street and the Bamboo Forest walk. The shuttle bus from the station was convenient. They provided our infant daughter with a cute Yukata to wear, which she looked gorgeous in. The staff were sweet and made us feel welcome. The private onsen with a view of Japanese maple trees was unforgettable. The traditional kaiseki feast was excellent. They looked after our luggage for a whole day. The hotel is like a slice of paradise, with easy walking access to attractions.
Would recommend this hotel.
